Self Evident Truths
Photographer iO Tillett Wright is outraged that equal rights are not available to all Americans. So to confront this challenge, she plans to photograph thousands of LGBTQ people for a series called “Self Evident Truths,” to show the faces of those who endure discrimination on a daily basis in this country.
If you are identify as LGBTQ, Tillett Wright wants to take your photograph. To participate, send an e-mail to selfevident2011@gmail.com to make an appointment to be shot!
So I decided that I’ve been sort of bored, and I thought maybe instead of just thinking my thoughts, I’ll say them to a camera so that everyone on the internet can hear. Sounds like a good idea to me. Hopefully, I’ll be able to post them often and about some interesting topics, but for this one I just decided to go off on some random tangents so that I could better introduce myself and let people know who I am exactly.
